He's the one man everyone turns to in the Matanuska-Susitna, when there's a disaster: emergency director Casey Cook.
In a press release, Mat-Su officials said Cook is the second emergency manager, in the nation, to complete all three academies in the Emergency Management Professionals Program, which is the flagship program of Emergency Management Institute.
"I think it's important just to reiterate the fact that bad things happen in Alaska - bad things happen in the Mat-Su Borough," Cook said. "With this training, we're able to bring those sets of experience and knowledge back to the citizens here, in the borough."
