Three children were found dead inside a home in Michigan after a house fire early Saturday morning, police said.
A 4-year-old girl, an 8-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy were home without any adults at the time of the fire in Eastpointe in suburban Detroit, said Eric Keiser, Eastpointe’s acting director of public safety.
"The inside of the house is just destroyed," Keiser said, describing it as a "very significant fire."
Authorities did not identify the victims.
Two other children live at the home, which is occupied by two families (two sisters and their five children), but Keiser said those kids were elsewhere with another parent at the time of the fire.
