Chief Niles R. Ford

The Board of Directors of the Western Fire Chiefs Association is endorsing Chief Niles R. Ford in the IAFC’s race for Second Vice President 2015 and urge IAFC members to also support his candidacy. 

If given the opportunity to lead the IAFC, Chief Ford will work diligently for the entire membership of the IAFC.  He will continuously reach out to members (volunteer, combination, and paid), sections and divisions in order to better understand their needs and concerns.  Chief Ford will work to expand the influence of the IAFC both with domestic partners as well international peers.  He will work to develop initiatives that foster the sharing of ideas, knowledge and best practices throughout the membership as well as across international borders. Working to ensure that the IAFC's role as the go to organization for all risk/all hazard response and mitigation will be a priority for Chief Ford.

If elected, Chief Ford will place an increased focus on the sharing of ideas, knowledge and best practices throughout IAFC membership as well as across international borders. This would not just focus on their physical well-being, but also the mental and emotional health of individuals in the EMS and fire services. He will look into ways that the IAFC can be a resource for members in leadership roles as they strive to help those they lead.
