Call in Today to be a Part of the Conversation on America's Job Act

Following President Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress, Vice President Biden is inviting American fire service personnel to join him for a conference call on Monday, September 12 to discuss the Administration’s commitment to keeping firefighters on the job.

The Vice President's Office has asked the IAFC to share this information with its members to ensure responders across the country have the opportunity to participate. Please note this is an opportunity for first responders only.  It is closed to members of the press.

Date of Call: Monday, September 12, 2011
Start Time: 4 pm Eastern (please plan to dial in 5-10 minutes early)
Call Number: 866-233-3841
Participant Access Code: 216643

The American Jobs Act includes $5 billion to support the hiring and retention of public safety and first responder personnel. By supporting such jobs, the plan aims to keep communities safe from crime and able to maintain critical emergency response capabilities.

The call will allow for wide participation, but space is limited.  It is recommended that you dial in early. If you would like further information or are unable to join the call, you can access information online at the White House website's American Jobs Act page.
