The South Bay Regional Public Communications Authority (“RCC”) provides high quality, multi-jurisdictional emergency dispatch services to the Cities of Gardena, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, Hermosa Beach, and Culver City. RCC also runs a full-service radio and emergency equipment installation shop. Headquartered in a state-of-the-art facility in Hawthorne, California, the agency is supported by an annual budget of $11.22 million and 71 positions. The RCC is governed by a Board of Directors under a Joint Powers Agreement and the Executive Director is appointed by the Executive Committee.

The ideal candidate will be a highly engaged, forward thinking leader with in-depth public safety communications familiarity. A well-rounded administrative background in local government that includes impressive strength in finance, budgeting, grant management and human resources is also desirable. Previous experience interacting with elected and appointed officials will be considered favorably. Five (5) years of relevant management experience and a Bachelor’s degree are required.
