North Whidbey Fire and Rescue
Location: Oak Harbor, WA
North Whidbey Fire and Rescue is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of Deputy Chief. North Whidbey Fire and Rescue is a Fire Protection District governed by a three member Board of Commissioners. The Deputy Chief reports directly to the Fire Chief.
Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 plus benefits, depending on experience, education and qualifications.
Summary of Job Classification: This is an FLSA 7(k) exempted position. Schedule consists of 180 hours in a 28 day work period. Duties include all areas of operations including developing and directing the training and safety program for the volunteer and paid on call staff; provide public education, schedule pre fire plans, Fire and EMS response, leadership, assisting the Fire Chief with administrative tasks and respond to incidents as a District Duty Officer.
All applicants should be highly motivated, highly skilled and have excellent communication skills. The successful candidate must be an EMT within 6 months of hire.
