At the Kitsap Readiness Center

Cost: $300 lunch is included each day.

Who Should Attend:
This course is targeted to officers and driver/operators and will be beneficial to all other members.
 
Description:
This two day course examines the design, operation, tactical considerations and placement of aerial apparatus. The course will also address rescue and life safety strategies for aerial work. Day one will cover classroom theory and strategy and day two will include extensive hands-on exercises using aerial devices.
 
About the Instructor:
Mike Wilbur is a nationally recognized instructor in Emergency Vehicle Operations, Apparatus Placement and Purchasing. He is a 27 years veteran of New York City Fire Department. In the New York City Fire Department Mike was assigned to Ladder Company 56 for 15 years, 8 as an apparatus operator, and in 1995 was promoted to the rank of Lt. and is presently assigned to Ladder Company 27 in the Bronx. Mike is also a contributing editor for Firehouse Magazine and Fire Apparatus Journal, and travels across the country providing instruction on aerial firefighting operations and tactics.
